Devon Pixies is proud to be selected as a finalist in both the hospitality and tourism categories.
It has been a tremendous journey for this small business.
After opening the doors in Logan Village and growing there for the past eight years, the opportunity came up to take up a lease in the newly renovated Caretaker’s Cottage within the Kingston Butter Factory precinct.
This move has created wider tourism opportunities locally and further afield.
As the owner/operator of Devon Pixies, I am so pleased to be able to promote not just our venue and location, but also other tourism destinations within Logan.
All our businesses connect to tourism in some way, and we can all work together to provide a great visitor experience in Logan.
Devon Pixies is about celebrating, connecting, and catching up over one of our three high tea options or a more casual sandwich, cake, coffee, or tea from the daily menu.
Hospitality is what we provide when you arrive. A warm welcome, friendly service, and good food. I want you to feel welcome when you arrive.
Tourism is what you do by coming to visit Devon Pixies, the Heritage Centre and Living Museum at the Kingston Butter Factory Precinct.
When you bring your friends, your family, your work colleagues to share the experience with.
What does an increased tourism industry mean to the everyday resident?
It means more opportunities for you and your children and grandchildren for employment, for leisure, for growth.
It means more positive stories about the city we live in.
It means more money coming through our local economy.
Tourism is what you do when you go somewhere for pleasure or for business, it’s also when we entertain, attract, and accommodate tourists.
As the Tourism Champion for the Logan Chamber of Commerce, I am forming a networking group of tourism and associated businesses so that we may work together and promote Logan City as central tourism location in the southern Greater Brisbane region.
If your business or community group would like to get involved, please contact me using the details on this page.
At Devon Pixies, we want to encourage community and caring. Therefore, we are sponsoring and supporting the Mini Farm Project at Loganlea State High School.
Growing fresh vegetables and herbs that will be used directly for those that need them most. Food is a community connector, we learn so much about each other by sharing our favourite foods, our recipes, and more.
