LOGAN businesses are about to be equipped with the tools it takes to go global.
The city, in partnership with Los Angeles-based Network for Global Innovation, is offering businesses access to the program designed to help high-growth scale ups crack the lucrative US market.
Up to 10 local entrepreneurs will be able to participate in the program.
The United States Market Access Program is an accelerator program delivered and supported by multiple government and private organisations.
The city’s economic chief Jon Raven said access to customers all over the world is critical if we want to unlock the potential of businesses in the City of Logan.
“Companies such as Go1 started as four local blokes with a great idea and now they are a billion dollar global company headquartered here in Logan,” Cr Raven said.
“The United States Market Access Program is about helping promising new businesses reach the next level with access to international markets.”
The United States Market Access Program was officially launched yesterday at the City of Logan’s coLab Growth Hub at Underwood.
It will begin in August and run through to March next year.
One company will be selected and its representatives given the opportunity to fly to San Francisco to begin business engagements in the American market.
Applications are open and close on Friday, July 1.
The City of Logan’s coLab offers customised support to high-growth startups.
