A NUMBER of events are being planned for Small Business Month in May.
A joing chambers of commerce breakfast will be on Wednesday May 4 at Performance Studios, Loganholme.
The event will welcome guest speaker Karen Jacobsen who is the voice of Siri in millions of GPS-enabled smart devices worldwide.
On May 3, there will be a “business station day”, aimed to teach one-person start-ups how to start hiring staff.
There will also be tips how to digitise a business.
There will be 12 other events run by the council for small business, which deputy mayor Jon Raven said were the major drivers of the local economy.
“I encourage all small business owners to get involved in an event next month and learn new ways to grow their business and build resilience,” he said.
