The YMCA Queensland Social Impact Program of YMCA Schools’ Breakfast Program commenced in 2006 with five schools in Logan.
Today the program supports 50 schools in Logan and 174 in SEQ, with a further 250+ statewide.
We were delighted to have been nominated and now as finalists in the not-for-profit category at the Logan Chamber of Commerce Business Distinction Awards. We are glad our work is making a positive impression.
In March 2023 we reached over 7 million Breakfasts, and our trajectory is we will reach over 8 million by December 2023.
These exciting milestones show a growing need, with more schools reaching out for support.
We value support from a range of sponsors, in particular our strong partnership with FoodBank Queensland who provide food for the program.Â
Sponsors and donors are mainly businesses operating in the communities we serve. They value corporate social responsibility and want to support children who will be our leaders and employees of tomorrow. Â
Being part of the Logan Chamber Community allows us to use our networking skills to connect businesses to their solutions as well as sharing our story and addressing food security in the Logan local government area as well as other regions. Â
We wish all the finalists over the 18 categories all the best for the Awards Night and look forward to celebrating with our local Logan Chamber of Commerce members and guests, sponsors and Logan City Council.Â
