In early 2013, Cam Ayling and his parents Bill and Jackie decided to expand their small flyer and printing business into something much more ambitious.
Having experienced high demand for their services, they discovered that what their clients really wanted was an affordable printing and signage service that delivered on its promise for small businesses in the community.
“In the beginning, I guess our only major point of difference was that we were offering friendly and reliable service – something that many of our clients had told us that they’d struggled to find,” director Cam Ayling says.
“Then we started to build a loyal client base of local businesses who were looking for quality signs at an affordable price. Being a small business ourselves, we understood and worked with our clients to decide on the best options within their budget.”
The company quickly grew through word of mouth and a loyal repeat client base who referred their friends. The team rebranded as Lime Signs and brought on experienced designers, fabricators and installers to help them grow the business and provide premium quality signage solutions for their customers.
Now hiring over 15 employees at their factory in Loganholme, Lime Signs is going from strength to strength, calling some major retailers and Queensland businesses clients, including the Gold Coast Suns, Totally Workwear and Weber Store.
Despite the challenges of Covid-19 and the impact on businesses in the region, the family owned and operated company managed to achieve strong growth in 2021, with many clients using the opportunity to refresh and rebrand their retail and office signage.
Finding out recently that they were finalists in the 2021 Logan Business Distinction Awards was icing on the cake for the Lime Signs team.
“We’re stoked that we’ve been announced as finalists, after such a massive year. We are really proud of everything that we’ve managed to achieve this year considering the circumstances,” says Cam.
Specialising in new fit-outs and retail rebranding, Lime Signs offers a complete signage solution – whether you are after shopfront and exterior signs, illuminated signs, interior and wall signs, window graphics and frosting, vehicle signs or towers and freestanding signs.
Still with customer service at the forefront of everything they do, Cam and the team regularly liaise with shopfitters, shopping centre management, architects and brand managers from the initial designs right through to sign-off. Their fleet of vehicles can be seen on the roads from Northern NSW to the Sunshine Coast, and demand is only growing.
To date, the team at Lime Signs has completed over 13,721 jobs and helped over 4364 happy clients (and counting).
