Daisy Hill homeowners are waving goodbye to their home of nearly three decades amid a growing trend of interstate buyers looking in Logan.
The current owners of 26 Lewina St purchased the property in 1996 for $180,000.
Thirty years on, estate agent Pawan Isher from Belle Property says a lot of emotions are wrapped up in the property, and that the sale will be bittersweet for the longtime owners.
“We are not just selling the house; there are a lot of memories, the last 30 years of emotions are attached to the house,” Mr Isher said.
He said only minor renovations have been done since the property was built in the 1970s.
Remaining original 70s features like the earth-toned interiors and use of brick, wood, linoleum, and cork help to make the property unique and charming, Mr Isher said.
“The owners have been living there for almost 30 years, so they’ve been doing a little bit of work here and there.”
Many of the homes Mr Isher sells in the Logan area were built in the 1990s, 2000s, or even more recently.
The main residence has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, separate living and dining rooms, a covered deck area, a pool, and multiple storage spaces.
A dedicated study or work space is a short commute across the patio and could offer a solution to work and home separation woes.
Mr Iser said some potential buyers were interested in the office space to support multi-generational living.
“Interest has come from a mix of people, some young families and other families that want to live with their parents as well,” Mr Isher said.
“There are some people who have come from the north side or the Gold Coast, and there is some interest from Sydney as well.”
The 2423sqm block backs onto the Daisy Hill Conservation Park, which can be accessed from a side gate for nature lovers looking for walks or hikes close by.
