28 searches lead to 30 arrests

LOGAN detectives were claiming a big win last week after charging 30 people with 125 alleged drug trafficking, supplying dangerous drugs, armed robbery and weapons offences.

Across two days of searches, police said they seized methylamphetamine, cannabis and GHB, weapons including a shotgun, conducted energy weapons, crossbows, ammunition, drug utensils, a stolen motor vehicle, two stolen jet skis, two stolen motorcycles and about $50,000 cash.

The result was the culmination of a 10-month operation, including 28 search warrants over a one-week period in Beaudesert, Jimboomba, Yarrabilba, Flagstone, Mundoolun, Stapylton, Tamborine, Josephville, Laravale and Gleneagle.

Logan CIB detective acting inspector Nicola Brown said the results reinforce police’s commitment to targeting those involved in criminal activity.

“We know this action will significantly disrupt the drug distribution network throughout south east Queensland,” she said.
