A woman was taken to hospital this morning in a serious condition after she was hit by an item that fell off a moving truck in North Maclean, police said.
Police said the woman was walking along Crowson Lane at around 11.40am when she was hit by the item, which left her with “significant injuries”.
Police said the truck’s driver did not stop at the scene and that they were currently trying to identify the truck involved.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed or captured video of the area at the time of the incident to come forward.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing, police said.
