1 AUGUST Read and discuss Limberlost by Robbie Arnott at Inala Library’s book club from 9am to 10am. September’s book club read will be The Bookbinder of Jericho by Pip Williams, date TBC.

 

2,9,16&23 AUGUST Head to the Inala Hotel for Karaoke, held from 8pm to 12am on Saturdays. 

 

2,9,16,23&30 AUGUST Grab a free snag at weekly sausage sizzles at the Blue Fin Fishing Club in Inala. From 3pm every Saturday in the sports bar. 

 

2,9,16,23&30 AUGUST Volunteer for or attend a youth mentorship program run by the Hope Restoration Project aiming to support young people at Inala Community Centre from 4pm to 6pm on Saturdays.

 

3,10,17&24 AUGUST Learn Falun Dafa exercises and meditations to improve your physical and mental fitness at the Lake Parklands, weekly from 3pm to 5pm on Sundays.

 

5,12,19&26 AUGUST Meet other parents and babies at Inala’s Library for a singing, clapping and dancing session, for babies aged up to one year. From 2pm to 2:30pm on Tuesdays. 

 

6, 0&27 AUGUST Inclusive dance company Bring a Plate are hosting weekly free dance workshops as part of the Brisbane Festival. Come along to Hub Neighborhood Centre in Inala from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.  

 

6,20&27 AUGUST Drop into a sports and games youth session at Inala’s PCYC from 3pm to 5pm on Wednesdays.

 

7,14,21&28 AUGUST Meet new friends and improve your English language skills at Inala Library from 11am to 12pm on Thursdays.

 

7,14,21&28 AUGUST Attend an Active8 Fit n 50 group training session to improve your fitness and meet new people. Held at PCYC Inala from 4pm to 4:45pm on Thursdays.

 

11 AUGUST Head to a performance of Morning Melodies with swing singer Romony Meldoes at the Blue Fin Fishing Club in Inala from 10:30am to 12:00pm. Tickets include a two-course lunch and can be bought online.

 

23 AUGUST Build confidence and learn BMX riding at a skills safely at workshop held at Darra’s BMX facility from 10am to 11am. Suitable for children aged 6 to 17 accompanied by an adult. 

 

23 AUGUST Meet new friends at dinner with a local group of residents who have formed ‘Forest Lake Fun Social Events’. Beginning at 6pm at the Forest Lake Tavern.  

 

31 AUGUST Join fellow oodle dog owners at Forest Lake’s off-leash dog park for a monthly catch-up and playdate from 9am to 10am.
