Scholarship opportunity opens for young Logan artists

Young artists from Logan are being invited to apply for the Robyn Daw Young Visual Artist Scholarship.

The $7000 scholarship honours the late Robyn Daw, who spent the last decade of her career as Logan City Council’s Creative Industries Program Leader. She was widely recognised as an artist, educator, writer and arts manager.

The opportunity is open to artists aged 18 to 35 who live in Logan and explore cultural themes in their creative practice.

Up to eight applicants will be shortlisted. Those selected will develop work for an exhibition at Logan Art Gallery, scheduled to run from 31 October 2026 to 16 January 2027.

Shortlisted artists will also take part in a funded professional development and workshop program between June and September this year.

The scholarship aims to support emerging artists and provide opportunities to develop their work and gain exhibition experience.

Applications close at 2pm on Saturday 9 May.
