A 35-year-old man from Rochedale South is expected to face multiple dangerous driving charges at Southport Magistrates Court today (Monday, 20 October), police said.
Police said they charged the man with dangerous driving, including driving an unregistered and uninsured car, following a car crash at Burleigh Waters at around 5pm on Saturday, 18 October.
Police allege the man rear-ended a white Toyota Hilux while driving a grey Volkswagen Golf with stolen registration plates erratically. Police also allege the man failed to stay at the crash scene.
Police said they arrested the man a short time later on Carnamah Lane, Burleigh Waters.
