Your paper is the most interesting and newsworthy publication in Queensland, thank you.
I read the article regarding the change of laws effective on 23 September and offer the following.
One thing I don’t understand is why, in Queensland especially, there isn’t a provision for ceiling fans in bedrooms and living areas?
We live in a low set, low ceiling house, surrounded by trees, windows not facing the east – where the breeze comes from – and to top it off, the place would fail quite a few building standards.
Where do we stand?
Paying way over the going rate for the condition of this property, and the only reason we didn’t get an increase was we are only being offered 6 month leases, the last was April.
Next April we wont be able to afford to live here, or anywhere else, as the cost is already more than the pension per fortnight now and we are using our savings to afford to live.
