The excitement in the city is growing as the restrictions ease and, like the coming of spring, new life is sprouting in the business community post COVID winter.
As the president of the Logan Chamber of Commerce, I see new businesses springing up right across the city. Not just existing businesses who have pivoted, though that has happened more times than I can count, but truly new businesses, opening their doors for the first time.
It’s All Good BBQ are creating amazing burgers, ribs and chicken wings in Daisy Hill. Opening during the restrictions for takeaway and delivered goodness, they have hit the ground running with sales beyond expectations and continued growth over the last 2 months.
It’s not just food places that have decided to launch during the COVID winter. Out at Yarrabilba, the team at Raising Flowers opened and have been flourishing (see what I did there) with steady growth, supported by local sales.
All across the city, consumers are more aware than ever of supporting local business owners and the savvy entrepreneurs of Logan are taking advantage of it.
We expect local growth and business confidence to continue, as we emerge further from the grips of the Covid created winter.
If you are thinking of starting a business or looking for like minded people to share your ideas with, consider joining your local Chamber of Commerce and give your business the best chance of success. Every business in the Chamber started from an idea, so we all understand what you need to go through and are happy to network and point you in the right direction.
