A Logan woman won more than $1.2 million in last Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw.
The woman bought the ticket at Slacks Creek Discount Drug Store on Kingston Road, and her number, 4645, was announced on 24 January.
“I just couldn’t believe it,” she said.
“I’m still processing the news; I checked the ticket on Saturday, and I had to check the ticket about 10 times.
“I’ve been playing for 17 years, and I think the most I’ve ever won in my entire life is $90.”
Staff who sold the ticket at the drug store were in disbelief, owner Kamal Saini said.
“This is our first division one winning entry that we’ve sold and I’m in absolute disbelief,” Mr Saini said.
“I had to ask my team to triple check the winning message that popped up on our terminal screen to make sure it was real.
“We’ve started to decorate the store, and we’ve been alerting all of our customers with the winning news this week.
The woman said she would go out to lunch with her partner to celebrate the win and use some of the money to travel.
“I honestly don’t think it will feel real until it’s in my bank account,” she said.
