Multiple awards celebrating development in Queensland have been won by large housing communities in Logan.
Two Greenbank estates, Covella and Everleigh, were recognised at the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) awards for their impact “enriching communities”.
Everleigh, a 3451 lot community spanning 215ha and run by Mirvac, won the top award in the consultancy category.
Covella, led by Avid Property Group and Greenfields Development Company, won best residential subdivision and was a finalist in the project of the year category.
Covella is a 1565-block residential development spanning 150 hectares.
The residential subdivision awards recognises AVID and Greenfields’ commitment to
“fostering a relationship with local businesses and facilities to best support their residents
utilisation of all that is available in the surrounding community”.
Chairman of the joint venture with Greenfields, AVID executive general manager Bruce
Harper said the company was “overwhelmingly proud” to have been acknowledged by the UDIA.
“A true testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in the Covella project,” Mr Harper said.
“This recognition of Covella’s place within the wider Greenbank community speaks to the
rapid growth this area is currently experiencing, culturally, commercially, and residentially.”
The projects will now progress to the national UDIA Awards for Excellence for judging,
which will be announced on Wednesday 19 March 2025.
