It’s festival season here in Logan

It’s almost festival season here in Logan’s east, with Eagleby’s Distillery Road Market announcing a line-up of free events leading into 2026.

A reggae festival on 21 June will kick the season off with a programme featuring leading roots and Polynesian artists known locally and nationally.

The line-up will include Queensland bands Fat Picnic (3-4pm), District Dub City (4.20-5.20pm), Kingfisha (5.40-6.40pm) and Bradamon (8.30-9.30pm).

Sydney-based reggae group Sub-Tribe will play from 7.05-8.05pm.

Then, on 2 August 2025, the Distillery Road venue will host a free blues festival.

On 4 October, it will host a free indie festival.

And on 17 January next year, the site will be home to a free country music festival.

Each festival will be open for free pre-registation, and host audiences up to 1500.

DRM has announced the festival series will be held annually in addition to the venue’s regular weekly live music schedule.

“At DRM we want to create experiences that everyone can be part of, and music has a way of bringing people together,” DRM founder Kenton Campbell said.

“These genre-themed festivals are about more than just great lineups, they’re about celebrating culture, connection and community.

“Logan locals and sout-east Queensland residents deserves big, brilliant music events.

“We’re proud to be able to offer them for at no cost, right here at DRM, half-way between Gold Coast and Brisbane.”

These festivals won’t be the first major music events in the city this year.

Logan’s west is getting similar treatment.

This month, the other side of the city is home to the inaugural ‘Legends of Country’ festival at Tamborine.

This event is featuring some of the biggest names in Australian country music, including Lee Kernaghan, Casey Barnes, Sarah Storer and Troy Cassar-Daley.

Local rising star Briana Dinsdale band Rusty Pickups will also play, as will former Australian Idol performer Wesley Deane (Carr).

The festival is part of a broader plan by organisers at the Youth Enterprise Trust (YET) to bring all types of acts and entertainment to their 122ha Woodstock Farm,
