SU Chappies of Beenleigh have been named as the chosen charity partner for this year’s Beenleigh Cane Parade and Gala Ball.
Fast becoming the biggest event on the Logan calendar, the parade is gaining plenty of momentum within the community.
As the premier community event of the year, the Beenleigh Cane Parade & Gala Ball is a celebration of local culture and a testament to the community spirit that defines our vibrant town, Rotary Club of Beenleigh president Rachelle Mulraney said.
“This year, the Rotary Club of Beenleigh is proud to partner with Scripture Union Chaplains Beenleigh region, recognising their outstanding contributions as chaplains and guidance officers in our local schools,” she said.
“SU Chappies are a vital organisation committed to supporting the well-being of students and the broader community through their tireless work in providing care, guidance, and emotional support.
“The Rotary Club of Beenleigh believes that their dedication to fostering a positive and nurturing environment aligns seamlessly with the values upheld by the community.”
The 2024 Beenleigh Cane Parade is scheduled to take place on Saturday 11 May, followed by the Gala Ball on Saturday 18 May, and will serve as a platform to raise awareness and funds for the local Chappies.
“This collaboration aims to amplify the impact of their crucial work, ensuring that they can continue making a difference in the lives of local students and their families,” Ms Mulraney said.
“We recognize the invaluable role they play in supporting the emotional well-being of our local youth, and we are eager to contribute to their efforts through this partnership.”
The Gala Ball promises to be a night of entertainment, delicious cuisine, and the opportunity to make a positive impact on the community.
The Rotary Club of Beenleigh invites local businesses, community members, and supporters to join hands in making the 2024 Beenleigh Cane Parade & Gala Ball a resounding success for SU Chappies of Beenleigh.
