A crime scene was declared after a Flagstone family home was destroyed by a fire on Sunday 6 October.
Emergency Services were called to the Sunrise Place home at about 4.45pm.
Police, who declared a crime scene just one hour later, believe the blaze started in the garage and “spread to the main residence causing significant damage”.
“The cause of the fire is still under investigation,” a police spokesperson said.
A spokesperson from the Queensland Fire Department said the single storey, brick house was “fully involved” by the time fire crews arrived on scene at 4.55pm.
He said the blaze, which required six crews to tame, caused the roof to partially collapse.
“Everyone was accounted for,” the spokesperson said.
“The fire was out as of about 6.10pm.”
The Flagstone community has since rallied behind the family who lost their home – which they rented – donating both money, clothes and other goods.
Even the local pub, Jimboomba Tavern, is holding a fundraiser this Saturday.
According to a GoFundMe page set up by family, “any donation, big or small, would mean the world”.
“This afternoon, a fire destroyed my brother and sister-in-law’s home in Flagstone,” page-creator Kylie Leal wrote.
“They have lost everything – their home, belongings, and personal items.
“Thankfully, they all made it out safely, including their three kids, niece, and her baby, but they are now left with nothing.
“We are raising funds to help them cover essential costs like temporary accommodation, clothing, food, and to support them as they begin to rebuild their lives from scratch.
“Any donation, big or small, would mean the world to them during this incredibly difficult time. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page would be greatly appreciated.
“Thank you for your kindness and support.”
