Cowboy Sheriff and Bubbles the Cowgirl will make their first appearance as roving entertainers at this year’s Beenleigh Show.
Chae Lindeman and Frans Vogels are a husband-and-wife team who create, make and perform original and unique roving acts around Australia.
At the show, they will be bringing out their fun and highly interactive characters; Cowboy Sheriff who walks on stilts and Bubbles the Cowgirl riding on her trusty segway steed called Rusty.
Mrs Lindman said it will be their first time at the Beenleigh Show.
“Agricultural shows are such an important part of our Aussie history, and we appreciate the many volunteers who keep this tradition alive,” she said.
Mrs Lindeman’s background is in contemporary circus and Mr Vogels is an award-winning mime and living statue artist, originally from Holland.
“We have both been performing for events for around 30 years,” Mrs Lindman said.
The couple love entertaining so much that they formed their own theatre company 18 years ago.
“We formed More than Mime Theatre 18 years ago, because we wanted to show people that roving entertainment should be more than just a costume; it can be theatrical and entertaining and can transport people to a more magical world for a moment,” Mrs Lindman said.
“With acts that surprise, intrigue and delight people, we bring the extraordinary into everyday life.”
Mrs Lindeman and Mr Vogels have performed at countless events in Australia and overseas, and their acts are recognised as being amongst the best in the world.
“We are very much looking forward to it,” Mrs Lindeman said.
On the day, “Cowboy Sheriff will be on the lookout for a bank robber, so make sure you help him out if you can!”
