Logan City’s various awards nights honouring local achievement will be merged into one major celebration.
The inaugural City of Logan People’s Excellence Awards, scheduled for March next year, will bring together the city’s sports stars, artists, innovators, volunteers and environmental warriors to celebrate outstanding achievements – previously held on separate occassions.
Mayor Jon Raven said the new event would bring Logan’s best together, with award nominations open until 11.59pm on 9 January, 2026.
Local residents, community leaders, volunteers, youth, advocates and sports professionals are invited to nominate outstanding individuals, groups, clubs and organisations from their area – with categories spanning arts and heritage, social impact, volunteering, environment, innovation and sports.
“This is our way of saying a big, loud thank you to everyone who inspires our city,” Cr Raven said.
“We live among some serious superstars in the City of Logan.
“Year after year, we punch above our weight in almost every field, from sports and the arts to innovation, environmental care and community service.
“When we recognise the achievements of our people side by side, it reminds us that we all play a part in helping our city succeed.
“This event is about more than awards; it’s about showing the world what we can do when we stand together.”
Winners will be announced at the invite-only event in March 2026.
