Beenleigh Marketplace Shopping Centre turns 25 on March 23.
And as a mark of its coming of age, the centre will be sporting a new look.
The anniversary marks a significant milestone for the community hub which changed ownership in April last year.
Mintus bought the property and is now looking to unveil a new logo as “part of a comprehensive rebranding initiative”.
“Beenleigh Marketplace Shopping Centre will undergo a transformation that reflects its commitment to honouring the town’s rich heritage while embracing modernity,” director Ben Stewart said.
“The new logo is inspired by Beenleigh’s historical roots and its deep association with the sugar cane industry, a testament to the town’s profound history and agricultural legacy.
“The concept behind the logo encapsulates the essence of Beenleigh as a serene country town intertwined with the vitality of sugar cane.”
By infusing a contemporary flair into the brand identity, the centre would aim to embark on the next 25 years with renewed vigour and relevance, he said.
“We are delighted to celebrate 25 years of serving the community and are excited to embark on this new chapter with a refreshed identity,” he said.
“The new logo will symbolise our commitment to honouring the past while embracing the future, and we look forward to continuing to be a cornerstone of the Beenleigh community for many years to come.”
He said the rebranding signified a pivotal moment in the centre’s history.Â
The implantation of the new logo and other works will be a work in progress over of the coming months.
To celebrate, there will be 25 x $25 vouchers to giveaway to random shoppers – five each day from Monday March 18 to Friday 22 March.
Then, on Saturday 23 March, there will be a one-off $250 giveaway.
There will be face painting, balloon twisting and the Easter Bunny to help celebrate.
