Logan’s program of active and healthy activities around the city is set to get moving again after coronavirus restrictions had previously kept it in hibernation.
The active and healthy program, called Live Well Logan, features more than 120 activities across the city and will still maintain social distancing measures.
But organisers hope it helps people keep fit for the rest of the year.
City Lifestyle Committee Chairperson, Councillor Laurie Koranski said the first half of the year had been tough.
“Keeping fit and healthy has never been so important and we know regular exercise can have a profoundly positive impact on mental health and well-being,” Cr Koranski said.
“Since we made the decision to cancel the program in March in line with health directives at the time, we have worked hard to put together a new program that allows people to maintain a healthy lifestyle in a safe way.
“As we approach the end of winter and with the days getting warmer, the timing to enjoy this fantastic program couldn’t be better.”
Live Well Logan activities include a range of cooking workshops, environmental activities, fitness and sports and well-being workshops to choose from.
The activities are designed to suit everyone regardless of their age, gender, mobility or work schedule. Most sessions are $5 per person or less.
The program will run until December 13.
