A chance to reminisce and reunite at Heritage Day Festival

Beenleigh Historical Village & Museum presents Heritage Day Festival on Saturday, 17 May, where guests will have a chance to travel back in time.

Beyond live demonstrations of life in the 1800s, markets, food, and face painting, a session dedicated to reminiscing about the Watt orchestra will take place on the day from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. 

The Watt orchestra performed at monthly dances held in local town halls, including in Beenleigh, Cedar Creek, Wolffdene, and Logan Village from the 1930s to the 1980s.  

Players in the orchestra have all passed away, but members of their families will attend and share stories about their performances.
