A busy Friday night for paramedics: two accidents, ten people.

Eight people, six adults and two children, were taken to the hospital for minor injuries following a two-car crash last Friday night.

Paramedics said they responded to the crash on Shalier Road and Mayda Street just after 11pm on 5 September.

They did not specify how many passengers were in each of the two cars, or how they collided.

At 7.23pm on the same evening, a 50-year-old man, travelling with a child, experienced a ‘medical episode’ before crashing into a fence in Beenleigh.

The man was transported to the hospital in a life-threatening condition, according to paramedics who responded to the scene.

The child, who was primary-school-aged, was unharmed in the crash, which took place on Logan Street and City Road.
