Ringroad changes at Springwood Mall

Springwood Mall has announced temporary changes to its ringroad access:

  • Red Rooster will remain fully trading and accessible off Fitzgerald Ave, but the ringroad just past Red Rooster will be temporarily closed between it and the roundabout off Rochedale Rd to finalise the new undercroft car park expansion;
  • The road behind the centre will remain open to two-way traffic, from Australia Post to the Rochedale Rd roundabout;
  • Access to the current undercover car park including the Woolworths’ ‘Direct to Boot’ service will be via the Rochedale Rd entry or via the road behind the centre;
  • Miss Kay’s Springwood will remain fully trading and accessible, with their car park accessible via both the Rochedale Rd entry and the rear road.

Marketing manager Donna O’Neill said the temporary changes to the ringroad reflected an exciting time in the redevelopment, but would require continued patience and understanding from customers who have already shown so much support for the huge centre upgrade.

“We have created extensive signage to guide customers through the ringroad changes, which are necessary while we create a new-look Springwood Mall filled with better features, more accessibility and greater convenience,” she said.

“In addition to working on the next stages of the expanded undercroft car park and the additions of the commercial offices and new Woolworths ‘Direct to Boot’ facility, we will be painting the back centre exterior and building the new Eastern entry near Soon Kitchen, while ensuring it remains open to customers at all times.”

Ms O’Neill said Woolworths, Target and all stores remained trading as normal while this next chapter of redevelopment work was underway.
