Police appeal over South Maclean baby’s death

Police are appealing for information nearly two years after a three-month-old girl died from serious injuries sustained at a South Maclean property.

The baby was at a house on Lynd Road about 10.15am on November 8, 2024, before being taken by ambulance to Logan Hospital.

She was subsequently transferred to Queensland Children’s Hospital, where she died from her injuries the following day.

Detectives from the Child Trauma and Sexual Crime Unit and Logan District Child Protection and Investigation Unit launched an investigation, known as Whiskey Brentwood, into the infant’s death.

Police said investigators had continued examining all available information and were seeking assistance from anyone who was on Lynd Road at the time or may have information about the incident.

Investigations remain ongoing.
