Four years ago, a buyer went looking for a house he would not live in.
He wanted somewhere for Mum and Dad: no stairs, close to transport, positioned between Brisbane and the Gold Coast and practical enough to simply get on with life.
At 16/22 Pine Avenue, Beenleigh, he found it.
Real Property Vibe selling agent Laurell Veivers said: “They bought it and they put their mum and dad in there”.
“The main thing is it’s a low-set unit – very hard to get a low-set unit.”
What began as a two-bedroom villa has since been steadily refreshed.
There is now an additional study or bedroom, new flooring and downlights, fresh paint and a completely renovated bathroom.
But perhaps the most personal change is outside.
“She’s redone all the garden,” Ms Veivers said.

Ms Veivers described it simply as “magnificent”.
“It even looks better than those photos now,” she said.

Its position was another reason the family chose it.

“It’s got everything that they need,” Ms Veivers said.

After four years, the parents are now preparing to move closer to family.
What they leave behind is a villa that has changed with them — polished, planted and ready for somebody else to take over.
“There’s no money to be spent here,” Ms Veivers said.
“Everything’s done. It’s extremely neat and tidy.
“It’s a pleasure to go there.”
