Children can investigate the tiny creatures living in local waterways during Waterbug Detectives at Greenwood Lakes, Forestdale, on Saturday 8 August.
The free outdoor activity will introduce young participants to creek and waterway animals and show how these small creatures fit into the wider environment.
It forms part of both Logan City Council’s Eco Logan program and the Peaks to Points Festival.
The session runs from 9am to 10am at Greenwood Lakes, off Creekside Court.
It is designed for children aged five and older, who must attend with a parent or guardian.
Bookings are essential and each participating child requires a free child ticket, which can be booked through Eventbrite.
Organisers may postpone or cancel the session if weather conditions are unsuitable, with updates sent to registered participants by text or email.
