More mall car parks at Springwood

Work on the $16m redevelopment of Springwood Mall is well underway, with progress being made on the new undercover car parks, and preparation work started near the western entry where there will be a new travelator.

Internal changes to the Target store have also been completed. These updates have created space for more retailers to join the new-look centre as it evolves.

The centre has partitioned off one area of the external car park in front of Woolworths while the underground excavation process takes place.

Once completed, this will double the current number of undercover car parks, adding 94 car parks in total for customers.

Woolworths will continue to trade as normal during these changes, with car parking for customers available in the undercroft car park directly underneath the store or in the car park outside of Target.

The centre has also started preparation work for the addition of the new internal travelators, which will totally transform and modernise customer access to the centre and greatly improve the centre’s convenience.

Ben Griffin is director of Geon Property, who manage the centre on behalf of owners Chin Hong Investments
Corporation Pty Ltd, and said customers may have already noticed some redevelopment changes.

“Customers may have seen our fencing, hoarding and signage as they move around and through the centre,” Mr Griffin said.

“We appreciate the patience and flexibility our customers are showing to support our retailers during this process, while we evolve Springwood Mall into a more convenient and modernised centre.”
