New Beith community to add 2100 homes

A new masterplanned community at New Beith is set to add about 2100 homes to Logan’s western growth corridor.

Frasers Property Australia’s Round Mountain project forms part of the Greater Flagstone Priority Development Area, one of Queensland’s major growth areas.

Economic Development Queensland says the Greater Flagstone Priority Development Area  is expected to provide about 51,500 dwellings and house up to 138,000 people over 30 to 40 years.

Frasers Property’s project material says Round Mountain has been designed around its namesake landmark, with future homes, green corridors, trails and open space planned as part of the community.

The developer says more than 40 per cent of the community will be dedicated to green space, including neighbourhood parks, walking and biking trails and preserved bushland corridors.

Project material also lists future community infrastructure, including a proposed 7ha state primary school, a proposed 7ha district sports field and a future neighbourhood hub known as The Foothills of Round Mountain.

The project adds to the continued growth of the Greater Flagstone area, where major new housing communities are expected to play a central role in meeting demand across south-east Queensland.

Economic Development Queensland’s development assessment register shows an approved application for land at Olson Road and Mountain Ridge Road at New Beith.

The approved application, granted on 23 October 2025, includes a material change of use for houses, home-based businesses, display homes and a sales office, along with reconfiguring a lot for 152 residential lots, balance land, new roads, open space, drainage, access easements and leases over multiple stages.
