Works will start in May to deliver 40 new parking spaces at Tygum Park at Waterford West.
The space was used as a temporary parking area during recent road works nearby.
The area will have a bitumen spray seal surface and clear line marking with two dedicated disability parking spaces.
Some temporary impacts are expected during construction, including changed traffic conditions, reduced speed limits and minor delays due to construction vehicle movements.
Works are expected to be completed by the end of May, weather permitting.
