Primary schools in Logan are in the running to share $10,000 in funding through a community grant program run by Rochedale Shopping Village.
The centre has launched the 2026 edition of its Local Give Back initiative, with this year’s program focused specifically on supporting primary schools.
Three schools will receive grants through the program, with $5000 awarded for first place, $3000 for second and $2000 for third.
People can vote for their favourite school project.
Rochedale South State School wants to add plants to its outdoor learning spaces.
Rochedale State School will put the money towards a permanent shade structure over an outdoor eating area.
Eight Mile Plains State School wants to restore its music room and replace instruments damaged by vandalism.
Past grants have helped fund sporting equipment, library resources, playground upgrades and technology for classrooms.
The Local Give Back initiative is now in its fourth year.
Since the program began, a total of $50,000 has been distributed to local community organisations and projects.
Hadley Green Investment Group executive director Hugh Zochling said the initiative aimed to recognise community groups and schools contributing to the area.
“We are excited to launch our 2026 Local Give Back grant initiative and proud to be able to provide even greater support this year for local organisations making a positive and lasting difference in the local community,” Mr Zochling said.
“We are committed to giving back to the local community who have supported our centre and its retailers over the years.”
People can vote for their preferred school through the Rochedale Shopping Village website.
Voting opened on Monday, March 9 and will close on Thursday, April 30, when the three successful schools will be determined.
Shoppers who participate in the vote can also enter a draw to win one of five $100 Rochedale Shopping Village gift cards by spending $20 or more at a participating retailer and uploading their receipt when submitting their vote online.
