A Darra man, 37, was taken to hospital after sustaining stab wounds to the chest at an address on Whyalla Close, in Bracken Ridge.
Police were called to the property at around 7.05pm on 6 December where they found the man with life threatening injuries.
Police said a 33 year-old Darra man was also taken to hospital under police guard, to assist police with their inquiries. He reportedly was being treated for a medical condition.
Police said the two men were known to each other and that there was no ongoing threat to community safety.
