While Victoria suffers through another business-crippling lockdown, here in Logan we are seeing record growth in many industries with business confidence at a three-year high across many sectors.
As we continue to move ahead of the country and indeed, the rest of Queensland, it’s time to celebrate the best of Logan’s businesses.
If you, or a business you support, is growing, innovating or contributing to Logan in any way, you should nominate them for a Logan Business Distinction Award.
There are 14 different industry categories this year as well as major awards for Innovation, Sustainability, Inclusiveness, Community Contribution, New Business and, of course, the prestigious Logan Business of the Year.
Any business in Logan is eligible and you don’t need to be a member of the Chamber of Commerce to enter or win. You can nominate your favourite businesses at www.loganbusinessawards.com.au/Nominate
A little history: The Business Awards were created by the Logan Chamber of Commerce decades ago before being taken over by Quest Newspapers and rolled out across the state.
In 2018, the new Logan Chamber of Commerce Committee formed a Business Awards Working Group and were joined by representatives of the Logan Regional and Beenleigh Yatala Chambers of Commerce. Combining the three premier organisations for business in Logan, we have received over 400 nominations every year since then.
That year K&G Automotive won business of the year with other major winners including Harrisons Little Wings, American Bourbon Bar and Bee All Natural. All businesses that no only survived Covid but are forging ahead.
In 2019 with over 400 nominations, the Logan Business of the Year was won by Yarrabilba Jobs Exchange, who created and continues to push a nationally revolutionary program for employment.
Other major awards winners included Physiotherapy Innovations, Laser Tag in a Box, Perfekt Studios, Swanborourgh Funerals and Bee All Natural again.
Covid meant no awards in 2020, so the Chamber is expecting a record amount of nominations this year, already clearing the 200 mark.
Where do you get your coffee? Who does your nails? Who gave you great customer service? Don’t stay silent. Thank them with a nomination in the 2021 Logan Business Distinction Awards.
