Jewellery and tobacco theft spur police investigation

Detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch are currently investigating a series of break-ins that occurred overnight, targeting a shopping centre and a service station in Logan.

The first incident took place around 2 a.m. at a shopping centre on Browns Plains Road, Browns Plains.

A group of individuals forcibly entered the premises, smashing display windows and making off with a significant quantity of jewellery.

The suspects fled the scene in two vehicles: a dark-coloured SUV and a blue utility.

Approximately an hour later, at 3:10 a.m., the same group targeted a service station along the Pacific Motorway in Loganholme.

They gained entry to the store, stealing a substantial amount of tobacco and cigarettes before fleeing the scene.

Police are urging anyone with information about the break-ins or the vehicles involved to come forward.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit their website at www.crimestoppers.com.au.
