A Rochedale South web developer is setting a challenge for people to lift their fitness game.
Adarsh Thakur has developed a social network he says is exclusively for the fitness and sports community.
The platform is designed to motivate people to become fitness influencers – either as a trainer creating a challenge, or as a fitness enthusiast who wants to showcase their performance in a challenge.
“Participating in fitness challenges are a proven way of driving motivation and Tdingo provides the complete competitive ecosystem for generating challenge ideas, relevant training, performance leaderboard and rewards – all in one place,” Mr Thakur said.
“Someone who is a fitness trainer can create a physical task as a challenge to attract interest from fitness enthusiasts. They can get as creative as they can while creating a challenge to make it more interesting. Tdingo creates very effective engagements and interactions within the fitness community thus helping fitness trainers expand their network.”
More than 100 users are already using the platform, familiarising themselves with challenges on video and then going out to complete it themselves.
There are challenges for all levels of fitness.
“Every challenge that they perform adds to their fitness score thus making them eligible for tougher challenges,” Mr Thakur said.
“Fitness challenges are across various categories like calisthenics, balancing acts, flips etc.
“We currently have fitness challenges as easy as balancing a bottle of water on your head to expert level like the classic Bring Sally up challenge where you sync push-ups to the song.”
Mr Thakur said the platform would be free for anyone who joins before December 31. They would have lifetime access to all premium features, he said.
“Currently we are looking at three ways in which interested people can get involved with Tdingo,” he said.
“Someone with strong fitness industry experience will be a very valuable asset to the team of Tdingo. The second one being mentorship. We would like to get guidance and mentorship from fitness industry stalwarts to help Tdingo move into the right direction for making it a global start up. Last but not the least, anyone can join the Tdingo by creating or performing in a fitness challenge.”
