Logan Small Business Conference returns for 2025

Small business owners and entrepreneurs in Logan are encouraged to take advantage of an upcoming opportunity designed to enhance growth, connect participants with industry experts, and facilitate networking among local professionals.

The Logan Small Business Conference is set to return on 1 May from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm at the Kingdom Life Centre.

This bi-annual event promises to be an essential gathering for anyone looking to stay informed about industry trends and expand their knowledge base.

As part of Queensland Small Business Month, attendees can look forward to a day filled with insightful talks and networking opportunities designed to support and celebrate Logan’s vibrant small business community.

Tanya Chaplin from Chaplin Screens said that the conference delivers invaluable insights from industry experts.

“Their expertise provides practical knowledge that you can take back to your business, helping to drive innovation and growth,” she said.

“Beyond learning, this event is a powerful opportunity to connect with fellow small business owners, forge new relationships, and explore business opportunities.”

The ticket price of $59.50 includes morning tea, lunch, and access to invaluable insights from local experts.

Featured speakers include Melissa Harvey, co-founder of TaxCentric, who will discuss essential tax strategies for businesses preparing for the end of the financial year.

Jo Connolly, known as That Social Chick, will provide insights on using Reels for business growth, while marketing expert John Wolstenholme will share tips for optimising advertising efforts.

Additionally, Sonja Gilchrist will present her time management strategies for business owners, and Beau Miller will explore how artificial intelligence can be a transformative tool for businesses.

Gina Forde from Obsidian Marketing Solutions said that small businesses are the beating heart of the community.

“They (businesses) create local jobs, keep money circulating in our local economy, and support the families who live, work, and invest right here in Logan,” she said.

One of the highlights of the conference will be the Local Showmakers and Tradies Showcase, a mini expo showcasing displays from local producers and tradespeople.

This event offers attendees the chance to discover Logan’s diverse products and services while supporting local businesses.

Sandy Lower from Q State Properties spoke about the community aspect of the conference.

“In Logan and the surrounding areas, business isn’t just about work – it’s about community, connection, and celebrating what makes us unique,” she said.

“This conference plays a vital role by providing accessible, impactful, and engaging opportunities for local business owners to learn, network, and grow.”

Networking opportunities will also be available, allowing participants to connect with like-minded individuals, share experiences, and foster relationships that could lead to future collaborations and growth.

SueAnn Tysoe from Checkmate Pest Control was excited for businesses to get together and learn from each other.

“We are very excited to have secured an incredible lineup of guest speakers for this conference—all local business owners—covering key topics like Finance, Advertising & Marketing, Technology, Social Media Marketing, and Mental Health Strategies,” she said.

Tickets for the conference can be purchased for $59.50, which includes all sessions, morning tea, and lunch.
