A local business has been named Queensland’s best large residential agency.
Ray White Marsden, led by principal Avi Khan, was awarded the title by the Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) over the weekend.
Mr Khan said it was a reflection of his team’s hard work over the last seven years.
“It means a lot to us that an agency from Logan can be given that award,” he said.
“I think it is also a reflection of the area we work in and how far it has come along the last seven years.
“It is a reflection of not just house price growth, but the growth in our community as well.”
Mr Khan said he hoped the award brought more recognition to the Logan community, which was well-deserving.
“… considering a small town can win such a big award in the whole state of Queensland,” he said.
“Us being a new business and me being a new principal, I have been really grateful for the opportunities the industry has afforded me.
“Especially the way that the older principals or people who have been in the market a long time have opened their doors to me and my business and allowed us to learn and grow from them.
“We are really excited.”
REIQ CEO Antonia Mercorella said taking home a trophy was “never easy”.
“These kinds of inspiring results are not reached without endless hours of hard work and a laser focus on best practice delivery for clients,” she said.
“It takes real courage to put your name forward in what is a highly competitive field, and it’s a sign that every single one of them back their performance when measured against the highest bar of professionalism.”
