I’ve been fighting to get our community the hospital we deserve, and it’s paid off.
Logan Hospital is undergoing its biggest ever upgrade – a more than $1 billion investment
– and it’s my proudest achievement since becoming your local member.
New wards are already open and caring for patients, new birthing and maternity suites are
there for Logan’s mums and bubs, and we’ve hired even more local health heroes to take
care of you and your family.
Just recently we officially opened the brand-new neonatal unit which is already caring for
babies in need of special care.
If you drive along Loganlea Road, you’ll still there’s still plenty of work on the go.
When it’s completed there’ll be 300 additional beds, a new intensive care unit and
emergency department, new operating theatres, and so much more.
I’m so proud to be part of a government that continues to invest in free, quality healthcare
close to home.
Our election commitment to build more satellite hospitals (including one each at Beenleigh
and one at Yarrabilba) will help to take pressure off Logan Hospital’s busy emergency
department.
We know satellite hospitals work – the latest data shows that less-urgent presentations at
nearby emergency departments have decreased by up to 26 per cent.
That’s why we need more of them, and that’s what we’ve committed to do if elected in
October.
Everyone has an important choice to make in the next few weeks.
It is an absolute privilege to represent you in parliament, and I will always fight to do what
matters for our local community, now and into the future.
I fought hard to deliver Logan Hospital’s biggest ever expansion.
I fought hard to ensure Logan kids get the best start to life by investing in bigger and better local schools.
And I’ve fought hard to deliver record cost of living relief to help Logan families, individuals, and seniors lower their household bills.
This election is about who you trust most to tackle things that matter, and who you trust to
make Logan an incredible place to live, work, and play.
The LNP have said they plan to give our coal royalties back to multinational mining
companies.
The only way they can pay for that is cuts. Logan cannot afford cuts to services,
cuts to our hospital and health workers, and cuts to cost of living relief and infrastructure.
Your vote is powerful.
At this election I need your support to stop the LNP’s plan to cut jobs
and services from our community. They cut before, and they’ll do it again
