International Women’s Day will be celebrated with a special event at Greenbank on Monday, March 8.
Hosted by Enriching Communities, Everleigh, the local community will be involved with a Pretty in Pink day at Greenbank RSL.
There will be raffle prizes in excess of $4000, including vouchers valued at more than $100 for beauty, massage, dinners, horse riding and more.
“Local ladies are invited to connect at this fun evening in the name of a great cause,” Enriching Communities founder Suzanne Guastini said.
“All proceeds raised are being donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
“Not only will we be mingling, listening to live entertainment, we also have a line up of inspiring guest speakers including the Greenbank 2020 community hero winner Kirsten Trevor.
“She rallied the Greenbank community together for International Women’s Day in 2020, raising an astounding $25,000 for cancer.”
Other guest speakers include BreastScreen Queensland medical director Kathleen Taylor and National Breast Cancer Foundation Community ambassador and survivor Sheila Kumar.
The event starts at 6pm, and tickets are $10. They are available at prettyinpinkfundraiser2021.eventbrite.com.au.
