The Probus Club of Cornubia recently held its change-over of office bearers’ ceremony.
Retiring President David Tilby handed the chain of office to Julie Clarke.
“The new committee have plans for a busy year of fun and fellowship,” the club’s communications officer Carole Ekert said.
Many of the club’s 70 members enjoyed a lunch at the Manly Boat Club to mark the occasion.
“Any person who is retired or semi-retired, would be most welcome to come along and experience the friendship and fellowship we offer,” Ms Ekert said.
“There’s always something happening.”
The club holds its general meetings at Beenleigh Bowls Club on the second Wednesday of each month, which is Wednesday 8 May.
“The club is run by an energetic committee who ensure our activities run smoothly and we aim to have something for everyone to enjoy,” Ms Ekert said.
