Motorcycle rider, 31, dies at North Maclean crash

A 31-year-old man has died after his motorbike collided with a car at North Maclean on Tuesday (27 February) morning.

Paramedics were called to the intersection of Scott Lane and Teviot Road at around 6.09am following reports of a motorcycle and car crash.

Police later confirmed a grey Mitsubishi ASX and a blue Yamaha YZF-RS crashed at the intersection.

The rider of the bike, a 31-year-old Dinmore man, died at the scene.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the two occupants of the car “did not require treatment were not taken to hospital”.

Police are investigating the incident, have are looking for a learner driver they believe can help.

“It is understood the driver was turning from Teviot Lane into Scott Lane prior to the collision,” police said.

“Investigators believe the driver was not involved in the incident.”

Anyone with information that could assist investigations, including dashcam or other CCTV vision, is urged to contact police.
