A man was trapped in his car with serious injuries after colliding with a truck at Greenbank.
The head-on collision occured early Friday morning at the intersection of Stoney Camp Road and Teviot Road.
Emergency crews arrived on scene at around 5.51am.
The driver of the car was entrapped with leg and abdominal injuries.
A fire and emergency services spokesperson said hydraulic cutters were used to free the driver, who was then transported to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The truck driver declined further transport.
