Police are searching for the driver of a car involved in a hit and run, after both the the driver and the victim fled the scene.
Police say emergency services were called to Main Street at Beenleigh on Friday (16 February) following reports of a man being hit by a car.
Officers arrived on scene but couldn’t find the car or the man that was hit.
Eventually, after learning of more information, emergency services visited a Buna Street address and found an injured 18-year-old man.
He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Residents at the Buna Street address are assisting police with their enquiries.
“Investigators are continuing their enquiries to identify and locate the vehicle allegedly involved in the incident and are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything or may have relevant CCTV/dashcam footage to come forward,” a police statement read.
Investigations are ongoing.
