Logan police are urging members of the public to remain diligent over the festive season.
With the holiday season in full swing, it’s a timely reminder to look at your home security.
“Over the Christmas break, you may have more valuables in your home than normal and knowing how to protect them against theft is important,” local police said.
These are their top home security tips:
- Always lock your doors, even if you are home.
- Consider fitting security screens.
- Have good solid locks on doors and windows.
- Consider installing CCTV and/or a security alarm.
- Do not leave car and house keys, wallets, phones or handbags in plain sight.
- Consider installing sensor lights.
- Remove wheelie bins or any apparatus that could be used as a ladder.
Applying these great home security tips will help deter opportunistic thieves and ultimately stop crime in its tracks.
