Windaroo, Munruben and Underwood were named as Logan’s top three suburbs for people hoping to upsize their home in a new report by Property Credit.
According to Property Credit CEO Giordano Stepancic, Windaroo was named number one in Logan because it contains “very few units” and is “almost all houses”, yet still maintains relatively affordable prices of mid to high $700,000.
He said houses in Windaroo were selling in under 40 days, noting a recent shift in the market favouring buyers.
Munruben placed second in the city, as it is “virtually all houses”.
Mr Stepancic said it was still a really tight market but there was “slight improvement” for buyers in recent months.
In third place was Underwood, with “super-fast selling” properties clearing in under 30 days and prices in the low 800,000s.
“It is a tight market with around 12 houses to pick from in a typical month,” Mr Stepancic said.
He said it was relatively affordable, with the average home costing “about eight years of household income”, which “makes it a standout compared to many other suburbs across Australia”.
