Law enforcement gets reinforcement

The City of Logan has welcomed eight new police recruits to the force.

Eighty-nine new first year constables (FYC) across the state were last week inducted into the Queensland Police Service after graduating at the Oxley Police Academy.

The Crestmead, Logan Central, Browns Plains, Loganholme, Beenleigh and Springwood stations will each receive one new first year recruit, while Jimboomba station will receive two.

Of this year’s graduates, 16 of them come from QPS families who are currently or have previously protected and served Queenslanders.
