AA Sunstate Packaging at Meadowbrook is one of six organisations across south-east Queensland to receive funding for recycling projects that will hopefully see over 69 thousand tonnes of waste diverted from landfill.
The company will receive $480,079 to install specialist new equipment that will transform soft plastics into packaging for the manufacturing and agricultural sectors.
Together the six projects will see $12.79 million jointly funded by the state and federal governments, as well as supporting 82 construction jobs and 116 ongoing positions.
The other projects are in the Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Brisbane, and Rockhampton.
