POLICE say a daylight shootout in an Underwood carpark on July 13 was a battle between rival gangs.
Five people have been charged over the alleged gang attack.
Police will allege the shootout occurred just after 12.20pm in Neville St, where the passenger of a Toyota Hilux shot at a 35-year-old man standing in the carpark.

Organised Crime Gangs group detective superintendent Troy Pukallus said police condemn the actions of anybody who shoots a gun in a public space.
“This behaviour is reckless and endangers the lives of innocent bystanders, it is extremely fortunate that no member of the public was injured in this incident,” detective superintendent Pukallus said.
“The subsequent investigation by both specialist and regional investigators resulted in quickly identifying and apprehending those allegedly involved to further protect members of the community. Any persons with information relating to this incident are encouraged to contact Policelink or Crimestoppers.”
