Greenpark Garden Club Inc are this month celebrating a mid-year winter Christmas.
Next Monday (17 July) the group will have a Christmas-in-July-themed meeting at Kingdome Life Centre in Park Ridge, from 9.30-11.30am.
Attendees will hear from Brisbane-based business Apiaries 8 about the importance of bees and honey.
Everyone is invited to come along early for morning tea.
Entry fees are $4 per meeting.
On Monday 24 July the group, consisting of 77 members, are headed to Toogoolawah for a Christmas in July luncheon.
The garden club does a bus trip like this on the fourth Monday of each month, for $35 per person.
Greenpark Garden Club secretary Robyn Sharry said the group was for those with a keen interest in gardening.
“People don’t need to know a lot about gardening – it’s an educational and social group,” she said.
